"Hi, and thanks for writing! You're pretty on the money about my occasional propensity to see the glass as half empty. Although I really do try not to, I am prone to laspsing into that type of thinking (esp. on days when the pain and fatigue are overwhelming). Your comments are greatly appreciated, and I will certainly take them to heart, and try to have a more positive outlook! Thanks again, -Sheila H."
"Thank you so much for responding! Also thank you for all the great info. When faced with something new, information is so appreciated. Doctors tend not to take you seriously if you do not present with 'normal' symptoms. Thank you for all the info, I REALLY do appreciate it!" -Lynn S.
"Thanks for your input! The information you've provided for me is great. Thank you so much for being a part of such a wonderful and informative group of people. The fact that you all reach out to help a complete stranger is a wonderous thing." -Crystal

Gotta Love the New Long Range Wireless Units
There are not one, but two new unsecured wireless networks in my neighborhood. I am using one right now as I type this note. Perhaps it's time to end my costly broadband subscription and free load.

In Case You Think Fox News is All Rah Rah for Bush...
I was watching The O'Reilly Factor the other day and they had a segment about how things are going in Iraq. Two Fox News Military Analysts who were military officers and generally pro-invasion and O'Reilly himself. They all agreed that things were going very poorly in Iraq and that Rumsfeld and Bush were making things worse by not being straight with the people. O'Reilly called again for Rumsfeld to step down.
Biggest problems: 1) Corruption by Iraqis and US contractors wasting billions in reconstruction money. 2) Although the vast majority of Iraqis don't like the insurgents, they're not willing to take them on (as measured by lack of effectiveness/moral of Iraqi police and Iraqi national guard units).

Liberate Myanmar
From The Economist, July 23, 2005
"For proof of how grim things have become in Myanmar, consider how locals talk about America's invasion of Iraq. There is no griping about violations of Iraqi sovereignty, no carping about the mysterious absence of weapons of mass destruction, no horror at the bloodthirsty insurgency that has ensued. Only one criticism is ever voiced: why hasn't America invaded Myanmar too? A monk, a taxi driver, a student, all shyly ask your correspondent whether America might not be prevailed upon to topple their dictatorial regime next. The country is stuck in such a rut that the prospect of a foreign invasion is a fond hope, not a fear."
Grab your guns boys! We're goin' to Burma and then to Zimbabwe.
